I bought a brand new Suburban z71 from there a few years back an have had nothing but problems with it. When we first got it a week after we got the truck the check tire monitor went on so I took it to the service center well of cousre you have to pay your deductible so I did. I get my truck back they say it was fixed but within a week its doing it again plus the check stability system light started to go on also. So I take it back to the service center. Pay my deductible again well they say they fixed it but again as soon as I leave both lights go on. I finally decided why waste the money on fixing it if I could live with it.
Forward a to now. My truck is now having more problems the gears seem to slip when I push on the gas. I can be in drive an when I go to accelerate the gear pops an seems to go to nutral. Well imagine my frustration when I went to San Francisco an am on a very steep hill an my truck won't go anywhere. So I figured I still have the truck under warrenty so I take it back to Michaels automotive in Fresno. I explaine to them what the problem is I pay my dedutible again. They call me the next day an say my truck is ready that it was the fule injection pump (ok). So I pick it up an the very next day the gear starts to pop out again plus now it is making a strange vibrating groaning noise, so there I go again to the service departmant an ask them to fix what they didn't fix. Well I figured I just brought it in right for the same problem they should fix what they charged me to fix an didn't right, wronge they want me to pay the deductible again to fix a problem they said they fixed already does this make since. Well needless to say I did not get my truck fixed an am out all that money trying to get my truck fixed. This is my warning to you (IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR AUTO FIXED DON'T TAKE IT TO MICHAELS AUTOMOTIVE IN FRESNO THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY BUT RETURN YOUR AUTO TO YOU IN THE SAME STATE IT WAS IN OR WORSE.)
We bought a new Hummer from them recently. The salespeople were incredible. They made the buying experience easy and stress-free. However, the experience went straight downhill from there.
We planned to finance the truck from a credit union. We were very up-front about this, and gave them the opportunity to match the APR. The guy we worked with in the loan department believed he could match the rate, if we gave him until Monday (we bought it on Saturday). No problem. FIVE minutes after the salesman left the room, his story changed. He said he could ONLY match the rate if we purchased an extended warranty! When we said no, he said there was no way he could match the rate. He didn't even try to match the rate.
We were given five days to get the financing together and a check to them. Our credit union is across the country, so we scrambled to get the paperwork sent across the country several times to meet the deadline (which we did). We contacted the loan department at the dealership several times during the week, and they were less than helpful. Several messages left for them went completely unanswered, and when we did talk with them, they were very rude and unwilling to work with us. We finally contacted the general manager. To his credit, he apologized for our troubles, and promised to get to the bottom of what happened.
Apparently that message caused some hard feelings. The Hummer came with free XM for 3 months. At the end of the first week, the "freeview" unexpectedly expired. We called XM to find out what happened, and they said I had called them and requested the "freeview" be terminated by giving them my full name and radio ID. I'm the only one that drives the vehicle, and I didn't even know the radio ID of my own truck! Draw your own conclusions there. Needless to say, after convincing XM I didn't do it, they re-activated the "freeview".
With all of the dealerships struggling to stay open, it's absolutely amazing these guys believe they can treat customers like this, and expect to stay in business.
