How did I miss this all these years? My wife and I were walking down the street when a couple of jolly well fed ladies coming out said it was great. First thing you see when you walk in are the desserts. Save room. Chocolate ganache cake was superb. Be sure to have the French onion soup with whiat you order. I had the Coquilles StJacque which was to die for. With a twist, along with nice scallops were several large shrimp. I was expecting a "nice place for ladies for lunch" but the portions were ample! And yes, Carmel is full of people who are too well kept, but it does have some good eats.
We had our wedding reception at the Patisserie in Oct of 2008 and we couldnt be happier - the food was delicious, Magdy is an incredibly gracious host and the ambience is unparalleled. If you are just going for lunch or dinner, the food is excellent and you will have a wonderful experience. If you are looking to host an event, the food continues to be delicous and you will build a memory meant for a lifetime.
