    We took a pair of Couristan wool rugs to the Monterey warehouse for cleaning-- they had labels that said Dry Clean Only but after thoroughly examining them, front and back, the owner said that we needn't worry. He said that if we washed them in our driveway the backing could shrink and curl unevenly but he had a drying room and everything would be done very professionally. Not to worry!

    Well you guessed it... the backing on one of the rugs shrunk unevenly and it now has hills and valleys running through it.

    But I guess the thing I found most annoying is that when my husband went to get the rugs, the gal in the front office had the nerve to tell him the rug was that way when we brought it in. An apology would have gone a lot farther.
