User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe views at sunset are spectacular (remember to bring your camera). We decided to have a cocktail and dinner on a Saturday night. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, Big Sur is not the place to do it. Everywhere took a little bit longer than what we're used to but, hey, you're in Big Sur so just remember to enjoy your surroundings. Since there was a wait, we sat on the patio looking over the ocean until it was dark. We then sat by the firepit and met some really interesting people. Our waiter wasn't the most attentive but the food was worth the wait. It's pricey (as everything is here) but if you want a special occasion dinner spot and enjoy the company you go with, you'll have a great time.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of My favorite spots: Besides the lovely drive down the Big Sur coast and the view, Nepenthes makes the best veggie burger I've ever had. Their 3 bean salad complements the burger well, along with a pot af jasmine tea. The history of the resturant and its romantic setting make this place a definite destination for me when I head down the Big Sur coast.
