User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best sandwiches come from Compagno's.. if you go during the lunch hour there will most likely be a line out the door... Aside from the sandwiches there are different drinks available from all over the world and the side dishes and cakes are yummmmy... The sandwiches are pretty big though.. I usually share mine with a friend... love love love this place! : )

Being from a predominantly Italian town in upstate New York, I never thought I would find a shop to rival my hometown Natoli's Market. I was at Presidio Monterey for a year in 1982 where I met my adorable husband and we both found Compagno's to be the absolute best sandwich shop we have ever come across in our world travels with the military. We are returning in April of this year for an anniversary trip and can't to again experience the party for our tastebuds that Compagno's sandwiches create!!
