User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis place has been in Carmel Valley for 50+ years. It is fabulous and a fun atmosphere. We 1st ate ther 46 years ago on our honeymoon! It's a long drive into Carmel Valley but worth it!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Place for Meat!: Rumor has it that this used to be an old road house between Carmel and Greenfield in the Salnias Valley. While a little on the expensive side, it serves up a big, tasty hunk of meat in a nice (but not too fancy) atmosphere.You get to pick your own cut of beef from the in-house butcher which makes the whole experience more fun.

Sorry no longer can you choose the steak yourself, used to, also used to have smiling servers, but no more, apparently to gain employment one must be old, bitter, and foul, or gay.
