Dinner for six, ages sixteen to eighty six. Everyone loved it! Food was great and service was extremely friendly and attentive. We LOVED the seafood specials - fresh and prepared delightfully. Calamari appetizer was out-of-this-world. Homemade sun dried tomato spread was a nice touch! Great atmosphere (could imagine we were in northern Italy or the Alps, thanks to the owners' heritage) and fun. Can't wait to come back!
I've traveled around the world, but for friendliness, well prepared food (tasty) and a fun atmosphere I can say I truly enjoy Dishes. What a great couple that run the place. French and Austraian ownership that know their business. Sometimes it might be a year since they've seen me, but I'm always recognized and treated like a long lost friend. Makes you want to linger and have another glass of wine.
Great little restaurant. Our favorite is the amazing gnocchi, and of course the Tiramisu. As far as the service is concerned, it is very european in that approach. You are expected to be interested in the people you are with, not an overly attentive staff. If you are in the mood for a nice, inexpensive wine, the Vache is a great little pinot noir. :)
