My wife and I love Silan. We live just a few blocks from all the MP restaurants, and this is our favorite. We much enjoy taking guests there. Note; it is a small, friendly, intimate place. Not a fancy date place. But still super cool. The menu is not easy to manage--all the Kurdish names for dishes--but you cannot go wrong with anything. The house wines are cheap and good. The dishes all inexpensive, best bargain in MP, and a delightful place. NOT open 3-5.
A delightful authentic experience. Utterly delicious, the food is healthy, always fresh, and truly unique, but its the warm and friendly service that we look forward to the most. Silan is a wonderful place to have a relaxed meal any night of the week and we love the food so much we get takeout at least once a week. Their fresh oven-baked bread has us salivating on the drive over and the menu is wonderful and varied. My wife is practically vegetarian while I am practically carniverous and Silan provides us both a wealth of menu choices. Prices are extremely reasonable making Silan a cheap and yummy mid-week alternative to cooking at home. Can't recommend it enough.
Fantastic Food: My husband and I go for dinner all the time - it is a great family run place and the food is fresh and tasty. The mediterranean platter is amazing, and you always start with a plate of piping hot bread and yogurt dip. I would totally recommend this place! If it is busy, it can be a little slower, but the ambiance is nice and we have always left happy and full. They also do take-out!

Lately Silan has revised the menu, maybe easier to navigate. I've seen also that their bread is baked right now! Their fruit desserts are great.
