This restaurant has high ceilings lending its interior a grand spacious feeling of warmth and intimacy. Definitely a good place to bring someone for a romantic dinner!
Yesterday I went for lunch. They had a 3 course prix fixe lunch and Hawaiian Swordfish as a special which came with soup or salad. Both options looked good but I was craving bacon. I had the BLT which was incredible on great bread. The soup was tortilla soup which warmed me up. The waitstaff were great. I had coffee and creme brulee for dessert. The creme brulee was one of the best I've had. They are serving Thanksgiving dinner. If my plans fall through I will be at Oak City.
The salmon with carrots and bacon pieces was exquisite. My mouth is watering now as I remember it. The service as good. The live jazz was refreshing to hear. We had a very entertaining evening. Our table shared the cheese plate with wine after dinner and talked and laughed for hours. We never got the feeling once that we had to leave because it was getting late. This place is a must for friends or dates.
