User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsMy favorite casual neighborhood Italian spot, particularly for the paper-thin pizzas, the penne melanzane, fettucine testarossa, and the molten chocolate cake with mascarpone (they call it souffle for whatever reason).
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsBad, bad service @ Gambardella's: Wrong food was brought to our table twice, wait staff could care less. Are they still in business? Our guests were very disappointed in the service.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest Italian in Menlo Park: I'll admit, I was apprehensive about our experience, as the restaurant is located on the CalTrain tracks... but seated inside, the noise wasn't disruptive enough to take our attention away from the food. Our appetizer was a new take on the traditional mozzarella & tomato, bring grilled inside romaine leaves (kind of squishy, but good). Dinner was simple, classic Italian dishes that we polished off. The tiramisu was a hearty helping - good thing we split 3 ways. Service was also attentive but not overwhelming. Next time I'm craving gnocchi, Gambardella's will be my destination!
