Overrated.: I heard the most highest reviews for this place, and was actually referred by a friend. I had asked the price of a cut and a single streak; unfortunately, the hair stylist liked to be vagued saying, "around 80-90," noting that she would work with me if it was anything less than a full head. The asking price in the end was $100. Looks like for that single strand of hair she decided to charge me was 90, and then 10 dollars for the haircut? Or perhaps, 80 for the streak and 20 for the haircut that resembled nothing of what I had asked even though I showed her in a magazine exactly what I wanted. I had shopped at other salons to see the general price for the style I wanted, and it ranged from 55-60. Though quality is important, I didn't see it, and the price did not reflect what it was really worth.

Love the prices: I've been going to Shear Magic for a while. Prices are great for Burlingame area. Cuts and color turn out just as good as any other salon that charges double. Kristina does excellent updo's for brides. Comfortable salon. Kid friendly .

just my style: I've been going to this salon for a long time. I tried just about all the stylist at Shear and they are all precise and a nice envirnoment. Highly recommend this team!
