The Flea St Cafe has wonderful ambience. Beautiful colors and low intimate lighting. The ambiance is to hopefully set you up for a fantastic dining experience. Unfortunately that is where the "ambiance" ends. I had the duck, and if you like tough unchewable meat this is the dish for you. To replace this uneatable meal I had the chicken. I will say the flavors in the sauce and vegetables that accompanied the chicken was flavorful but the chicken itself (breast) was tough. The waitress informed me before I ordered my replacement meal the chicken was a thigh and drum (dark meat) but when I received my meal it was white meat. When I informed the waitress of the mistake she asked me, "are you sure?â I then told her I am well aware between the taste and textures of white vs. dark meat as most people who have ever eaten chicken probably aware. I have had wonderful chicken breast and that which doesn't bear repeating. When I am expected to pay upwards of $20 for a small wing drumette and a small piece of breast, I expect it to be succulent which this was not. I am not a chef, but I have eaten in many restaurants and this was a complete miss. If you like ambiance with no regard for food, this restaurant is a 10. If you like food, try somewhere else. To be fair my companions had Prime rib and Short rib entrees respectively. The Prime was ok but not worth the $32 price tag, however the short ribs were delicious. I am just a regular person who loves good food and while ambiance may cover food it can not cover flavor. Signing off,

Superb Dining Experience: Our first visit Tuesday night was absolutely excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the appetizers and salads to the entrees and dessert. Not one thing disappointed, which is surprising since I'm generally considered a particular and epicurean eater. Everything was well prepared and tasted amazingly fresh. The atmosphere is elegant and mellow, and the waitstaff were friendly and well informed about the food. A wonderful dining experience and I look forward to many return visits.
Great, Local, Organic Cookin': Flea street is a favorite. I love the ingredients that this restaurant uses. All local, very organic. Everything is fresh. The atmosphere is a bit subdued, but it has charm. Their biscuits are to die for!
