Kani-Kosen Japanese Seafood

They say location is everything, and that might be true, Kani-Kosen is a little hard to find, but truly what's most important about a place to eat? Well, DUH, the food, and the food here can't be beat IMHO.

The fresh scallop was sooooo fresh, it was of the sea; the maguro and hamachi also fresh as fresh. When I lived in Pacifica, we came here often, so it's one of my "is this sushi as good as" go to points; most fail the test, and now I remember why. No fancy sauces, the fish stands on it's own, it doesn't need embellishments!

Owner Mary and her "chop-stick" husband run a very nice place. It's small, friendly, all with great fresh food. It's a little piece of heaven, it's a little slice of home.

LindySez - if you want good, fresh sushi, it's worth the drive to Pacifica!

I totally recommend this place!It looks like a regular place from the inside and outside, but when you try the food,you would think something totally different about it!The service is great.The employees are friendly!I recommend everything on the menu!I think if you try this place you'll love it!My favorite thing on the menu is Miso Soup!I hope my review helped!

My family and I tried this place today. We're not from the area but decided to try it based on Yahoo reviews since we're in Pacifica. We really enjoyed it!! This was definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants I've eaten at. We had the sushi combo dinner and were surprised to try some fish & sushi that we've never had before. And, they were excellent!! I wish I could remember what kind of fish it was because I'd like to try to get it at places in my neck of the woods. I would definitely recommend going here. In fact, we may find a reason to come out to Pacifica just to eat here again.
