Although this is where i had bought my 330i, i will NEVER go to this dealership again. i took my car here just a few days ago, for Inspection I. I basically ended up paying $600 for an oil change & for them to tell me what was wrong with my car. My service advisor called me & said the technicians found a few things wrong with my car (BROKEN THERMOSTAT HOUSING, needed to replace: WATER PUMP, BELT ALTERNATOR, VALVE COVER GASKET & repair with my suspension) My advisor had an estimate of $2,700 on top of the $600 that i had to pay. VERY PRICEY!! Although i have a hard time going to random auto body shops, i decided to call around my area for estimates for the parts that needed to fixed on my car. So i called a European Autobody (MiD Auto Service in Sunnyvale. The Owner knows exactly what he's talking about! Although i have a hard time taking my car to random Euopean shops, i was glad to know that he used to work for BMW. He was able to check my car for (no charge)on the spot & he was able to verify the problems that BMW found. BMW had also told me that they replaced the bulb for my break light but said there was a fault in my wiring that's why the break light still isn't working. Sure enough, he checked it for me & he replaced the bulb & my break lights were working just fine. Apparently, BMW NEVER replaced the burnt out bulb. Put it this way, MiD Auto Service saved me $1600 on repairs, was able to show me how to do my oil change, AND replace my chipped emblem for FREE! i would highly recommend him! He knows what he is doing!

Service department of BMW of Mountain View sucks. When I took my car (325) a week before my warranty was about to expire to fix noise from the brakes. They told me everything was OK with the brake. Within one month from my front brakes need to be changed. Because my warranty had expired I had to fight to get my front brakes changed. On the second visit I insisted that they check my rear brakes as well. They said everything was OK with rear brakes. I will still hearing noise from my brakes. So I took it to independent service shop and they tell me now that rear brakes need to be replaced.

What the hell was BMW of Mountain View service center doing and why they were not able to diagnose the brake issue and fix.

I am sure if I take the car to dealership now .... they will find all the problems.

Don't use service center of BMW of Mountain View.

Hi Don - I am having problems with the East Bay (Pleasanton) BMW service department as well. Since I live by BMW of MV, I was thinking about taking my car there instead but have read a lot of negative reviews about them. So, where do you take your car now? Just looking for recommendations since my 325i is stuck in my garage right now. Thanks.
