I love this place and I come here often, both for lunch and for dinner. And I try to introduce new people to Totoro whenever I get a chance, and so far all the newly initiated friends have really liked it, too.
It's a small space, and it's not fancy. But it's clean and I don't think I've ever had to wait to get seated. The staff's friendly and the food comes out quickly. The prices are reasonable, too.
I don't eat red meat, so the menu is a bit limited for me, but the Bi-Bim-Bop (with chicken) is simply delicious. Also, the tofu and mushroom hot pots (both vegetarian) are great. The side dishes (pickles, bean sprouts, and kimchi) are tasty and they keep coming.
I wished that they stayed open later, but in that they seem to follow suit with most other restaurants in Mountain View.
Our family loves thi...: Our family loves this restaurant. The food is flavorful, serice is fast and everything is very reasonably priced. Our favorites include the tofu hot pots (spicy), kalbi (marinated ribs), chap chai (glass noodles), and tempura. We eat in the restaurant and do takeout. Both work great.
My favorite place in Mt View!: I love Totoro -- its a tiny little place that serves very delicious korean food. The menu is a bit limited, but my husband and I go once a week and have been for years! My favorites are the house spicy pork or chicken, BBQ beef, Bo Bim Bob (with chicken) and the delicious pickles!
