A Mom (behind the grill) & Pop (old and runs about from Mama yelling orders at him) run a Mexican food place.
Seating varies; near the door or outside can experience regular loud train noise and strong winds.
Served on your table before meal are the typical chips from a bag (not warm, can be a bit stale) and salsa from a jar (not hot and a bit watery) = OK/good enough (not five star).
Menu is good: they have many items to offer. Burritos are not great but not bad.
Service is OK, but they can forget some things, so watch what they bill you for. No Mexican style coffee only tired U.S. stuff.
Not a bad place to bring a friend(s) for a meal, just not authentic Mexican food (the high ratings must have been from people who do not know the difference).
Their food is tailored to what sells to the crowd that patronizes them the most: local business / office types, so food is not that authentic, and ingredients are generically sourced.
And yes I would eat there again.
the best of the best: i love this place. it's right by my work, and i love ording from there. the people there are so friendly, and once they know you, they know what you like so they know what you wanna get before you get it. their food is awesome, i haven't tried everything, but so far they're doing a great job
Like Authentic Mexican Food? Look No Further!: I have lived and worked in Redwood City for years. Like most locals, I'd grown tired of the dollar taco stands and always traveled out of town when I had a craving for Mexican Food. Not anymore, this place is clean, close and authentic. Reminds me of my Grandma's cooking.
