Good value: The price is very reasonable. It is slightly more expensive than Pasta Pomodoro but it has more selection and larger menu. Interestingly, some of my friends don't like it. Some find the pasta to be too dry, not enough sauce and some find the pasta not tender enough. I would say it's al dente but they think it's undercooked. I guess I am not going back anytime soon.
Authentic Italian Trattoria, good food & friendly: If you're looking for a down to earth, authentic style Italian trattoria, then this is the place. Run by a genuine Italian family and friends, you get to experience what a regular Italian experiences every day.
Good food, VERY friendly staff, and very good value. Nothing fancy, just down to earth tasty food. Always a busy place, which is a very good sign.
Highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. They make the best Capuccino around by the way
Great Italian Food, Amazing Service, Excell. Value: Normally, I don't like Italian food. Too much dough, too much cheese and too much meat, but I had a craving for carbs. We were delightedly surprised at how fantastic Pasta? was.
The service was impeccable. Attentive without hovering, friendly and professional. The pasta was fresh and nicely al dente. I had the fettucine primavera that came with a good quantity of veggies that weren't overcooked, but nicely crunchy. My bf had a delicious smoked salmon fettucine in a pink sauce that came with generous portions of salmon.
The bread was fresh with a soft inside and a nice chewy crust that was perfect for soaking up the flavourful olive oil and red wine vinegar. When my bf asked if they had garlic bread, the waiter told us that garlic bread was not actually Italian. However, he said it in an infomrative manner that was not the least bit condescending. Instead, we felt educated.
The tiramisu was pleasant, but not exceptional. However, the overall experience of the meal, service and ambience, made this an extremely psychologically satisfying meal. The bonus came when we got the bill. Two pastas, an appetizer salad, all the bread we could eat, a dessert and a tea came to under $40 (before tip).
