Company Information: Morton's, The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Due to limited availability of this item, we suggest you reserve your order when making your reservation.

Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Morton's steakhouse, I have being to a number of steak houses all over the west coast and my experience at this Morton's was memorable. If your into good wine without any consideration for the price, then this is the place to go, the lighting was perfect and had a romantic setting, you could be heard across your dinner table without shouting. Our waiter's name was "charles" if my memory serves me right, and he did a wonderful job of thier signature menu presentation. Be for-warned that all servings are in large portion, so be sure to take your appetite, the appetizer of Oysters Rockefeller was perfectly prepared. As a main meal, my date ordered the Alaskan King Crab Legs, while I had the Sesame Encrusted Yellowfin Tuna and both were well prepared and presented. And for the dessert, we shared thier Creme Brulee, which was a little over priced but tasted good......Overall the experience was good, the manager came by the table a couple times to check on the service and at the end of the meal offered us some drinks on the house to finish off the evening. Even though we were almost the last couple to leave the restaurant, thier was no sence of rush by the staff even though it was way pass closing time. My only negative, was its location, as you had to go down a flight of stairs to get to the steakhouse so thier was no view, but all in all I would recommend it to anyone who believes that the first impresson is a lasting one and has the cash to back it up lol....i did....second trips are definately in the future...
Morton is ok. You want the best steakhouse in San Francisco? Go to el Raigon on Union St, it's an Argentine/Uruguayan steakhouse. Their meats come from Estancia style range raised beef cooked in house on a charcoal grille...and believe me, Morton's has nothing on them.

I've only been here once, and with a large group for a friend's birthday, but my experience was a positive one. The wait staff was very friendly to us, and very patient considering we were being somewhat loud and slow. The steak was good - not "oh my god this is the best ever" but probably better than Ruth's Chris. We took our time and ate at a comfortable pace, and the evening was definitely enjoyable.
