Love the Mint!: I'm a diehard karaoke fan - I love to sing, and hear other people sing their hearts out. And I love this place! I've brought out-of-town visitors here twice, and we've had a GREAT time. The Mint attracts some really great singers, so just sitting there listening to people sing can be tremendously entertaining. It can be tough to get on stage -- there's a long wait, and following those excellent singers can be intimidating -- but they've got a great songbook and fun lighting effects, and overall it's a hoot!
If You're in San Francisco and want to Sing: If you haven't been to The Mint it's time to go. This is one of the biggest little Karaoke bars in San Francisco where the crowd is always happy and ready to sing. The bar is always open and the KJ has all the music you ever could imagine. The vibe is friendly where you're always greeted with a friendly smile from the staff. Go often enough and they even remember your face. Go a lot and they remember your name. It's the Cheers of Karaoke folks. Next time you're in San Francisco, check it out and sing a song while you're there.
Fun to be had by all who go!: I've been a few times to The Mint. It's a great place to get a strong drink and karaoke on stage. Make sure to tip the DJ so that he calls your name more often than now.
