User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI am an Indian from the UK and visit San Francisco about once a month on business.. I had never before eaten indian food whilst here because I thought it would inevitably be disappointing.
However, one evening, the craving for curry overtook me. I had often seen the Punjab, and being Punjabi, I thought I'd pay it a visit. I was very pleasantly surprised. Being well-travelled in India, I would have been very pleased to have been served the meal I had in any Indian city.
I now consider it a must to have a meal in when in the city. An outstanding place, and very cheap. I just hope they can maintain the standard.-

THE BEST bhindi masala (okra) in SF! I pretty much like everything I've had at Punjab and its resonably priced! The ingredients are fresh and the naan is awesome! $10 will get you a good veg dish and some great naan!
