We live very close to Basil and consider ourselves very lucky. We try and have something new every time and have never been disappointed!

The service is good, the hot thai tea is free flowing and it's easy to get a table walking in most evenings. Impressive Thai food in an "up-and-coming" area. Big shout out for the Thai bread appetizer.

This is the best Thai restaurant that I have ever been to in the entire USA! The prices are very reasonable, the food is stellar, and the ambiance is wonderously modern and enjoyable. The wine list is also decent for a place in SOMA. The service is unbeatable for Thai restaurants. My favorite dish is the chicken-stuffed eggplant with green curry. Just the right amount of spiciness. Make reservations on the weekend.

Grrreat ambience!: Stylish decor, and good food. Friday nights call ahead as it can get crowded. My wife loves this place.
