| About: | Harry Denton has been the maven of sophisticated San Francisco nightlife for 20 years or so. His club, perched on the 21st floor of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel is a glamorous spot to enjoy top-shelf liquors, such as Hennessy Paradis Cognac or a Remy Martin Extra, colorful cocktails, panoramic views of the city and beyond, as well as live music. Experience classic cocktail service in 1930s inspired decadence with dripping-with-crystal chandeliers and voluptuous flower arrangements. The stand-up Biedermeier-style bar can accommodate the most expensive tastes, such as Dom Perignon Rose. A light-fare menu is also available, gourmet, of course. Opens Monday - Saturday from 6 pm and on Sundays from 11 am. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsASSAULTED UPON ARRIVAL. Completely unexpected, we were anticipating a romantic conclusion to our first anniversary by toasting our love in the reknowned "Starlight Room". Well, we exited the elevator on the 24th floor of the Sir Francis Drake Hotel and were immediately deafened by the "hostess" who was screeching improprieties to all arriving patrons, and a self-proclaimed "head of security" who was reprimanding other patrons. Needless to say, we managed to navigate our way between the so-called "professional" head of security, completely unprofessional hostess and rightly aghast patrons, and performed a 360 degree turn, boarding the first elevator to ground level, taking our money with us, never to return...and surely to tell all...Fortunately, we did find solace in the receptive oasis of Hotel Nikko. I had the most wonderful Halloween at Starlight Room- The bar tender "Erik" is as dreamy to look at as he is nice to chat with ( former Cal Rugby player to boot!!) Where ever Mr Denton found him, he needs to make a point to hand on to him.... I look forward to many more beautiful nights, with the beautiful people of San Fran in my years to come. Thumbs up and 5 stars to you all.
