Sushi Maru

Very solid. Not spectacular, but good variety in bento combinations and sushi, good serving sizes, generally fast service and passably good atmosphere. Generally well-attended. They have good katsu curry which is a definitely plus in my family. :)

I came here with my family when they flew here for my graduation, and we were all very impressed with the quality of the food.

I thought their selection of sushi was very good; if you want something that's not floating around, you can always ask the sushi chef to make it for you. There were a lot of "authentic" items like sea urchin (an acquired taste) and monkfish liver. These are bit pricier, but nowhere near as expensive as in a normal sushi place. I don't get too excited about the non-sushi items, but there were plenty of those, too: may different types of California rolls, seaweed salads, dessert items, etc.

I think it's best to come during the weekend. Their selection is the best, and there are more people at the restaurant, so the food rotation is better.

The service is good, and the sushi is relatively cheap. I think it's a good place to come with family or friends, but it's not a big deal if you show up by yourself and sit at the counter.

Decent Japanese food: Good food overall and enough choices beyond Sushi for the non-sushi lover.
