The cafe serves regular american style deli food. sandwich, chips, soup and drink. We had the tomato bisque soup which was rich and tasty. The drinks are served in jars. That was unique about the place. The ambiance is setup to remind you of America in 19th century. we had the veggie del monte sandwich (avacado, cheese and sprouts). We liked it. The food was not cheap. $12 for a sandwich, soup, chips and drink. A similar menu at subway would cost you $8.
W have been going to Eircks for years. Love the tomato soup!! Also the sandwiches. However the [particular day we were in there OUR ODER WAS WRONG!! No on e wanted to fix it we waited asnd waited then got it back and there were a few bugs in the lettuce on the sandwich. I have now decided not to ever go back due thethe rudeness and athe bugs!! It made me look as if I was the compainer!! It was THEIR MISTAKE NOT MINE!!
This is my #1 Eriks deli. Have been to numerous Eriks, ie: Los Gatos, Mountain View, Campbell, Cupertino, Santa Clara. Staff is very friendly, I have rarely had a complaint with my sandwich, also made to order. Comes so fast that the staff is waiting for me to sit down in order to serve me my sandwich. Always fairly busy during lunch but great service!
A square meal (sandwich and soup, $8) is the way to go!
I order "Abbot's Habit" on sliced Sourdough with extra goo and a clam chowder.
I come back often enough to know one of the guys now!
