| About: | To merely describe this busy music hall as large would be a severe understatement. Its dance floor can hold up to 900 gyrating people. Two long bars border the dance area lending easy access to cocktail needs. The upstairs lounge area with its velvet pink and black cubed ottomans looks like the ideal setting for a Nelly music video, and provides refuge from the crowds. Featuring live music that ranges from rock to electronic, Mezzanine hosts both the hottest national touring acts and local favorites alike. See website for calendar of events. |

Always Fun on a Gay Night!: If you are looking for a great sound system, good space, GREAT music, reasonable drinks, hot men, and respectable staff - head to Mezzanine on a Gay night. Check out the web site for dates and times. It may be just as much fun on a straight night - but I can't comment on that.
Where else can you go to hear the best of the best in DJ's today - from San Francisco's own Jamie Sanchez, Phil B., and Rob Kaftan to Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, Manny Lehman, Paulo, Tony Moran, Wayne G., Ralphi Rosario and the list goes on and on.
Check it out!
Awesome club: Been there several time for both dj's and live music events. Great sound system and reasonable drink prices for a club of this type. The door and security staff are professional, courteous and no attitude types. The bartenders are actually friendly, ask if Billy is working if you want some personality and a laugh served with your cocktail. Somehow this large club manages to have a very friendly neighborhood bar type of vibe about it. There are several different areas that you escape to if you don't want to be in the thick of the dance floor and each has its own mood. I have taken friends from LA and New York and they have been very impressed by the service and staff.
Good place for latest circuit music: This is a good place to go and hear the latest DJs from the circuit. They have a decent size dancefloor and lounge upstairs. The crowd is usually a decent size, but to really get a sense of SF, there are better places in the city.
