Dined with a party of eight for a birthday dinner last week. We were charged for two items we did not order and the waiter gave himself a higher gratuity then the mandatory 18.5% the restaurant requires for parties of 6 or more. On top of that the service was terrible!! The waiters were slow and kept taking glasses and plates before we were done. We actually had to stop them twice to bring glasses back. One of the members of our group had their credit card swiped twice! For a $550 dinner we were rushed and overcharged and the food was just okay. There are better restaurants in the city that do not overcharge their customers and provide service that makes your business feel appreciated. It's been a terrible hassle to correct billing errors and they have refused to credit items that were erroneously charged. I will not be going there again and hope everyone that reads this thinks twice about it, but if you do....check your bill!!!
Service: Poorest service I've seen by far (compares trying to get help from walmart employees). Never seen a waiter fumble orders 2x in one sitting. He stated, "I'm sorry were busy today." I replied, "but theres only 2 people at the bar and 1 other couple...." food (kobe beef burgers) was cold upon arrival when it did arrive. $25 glasses of wine tasted of stale aerated sour and flat. Now im not much of a first class wine enthusiast, but i know the diff. btwn stale and chteau lafite rothschild pauillac (not to say that this mediocre place would even carry it). Despite my dissatisfaction with the enitre place, staff, and food + wine; I went on about my the rest of my night in San Francisco, and never complained of its poor service and integrity to stand up to customer satisfaction. Come to find out after a week, my bank contacted my for "unauthorized (I KNOW!!!)" use of my card via FIRST CRUSH RESTAURANT WINE BAR & LOUNGE. bank of america refered me to the general manager of first crush who was completely awful to talk to. Hal the GM, stated "it was probably busy that day.... (refer to previous statement - 2 ppl at bar 1 other couple-).... and then he said "accidents happen." (entering in a total amount far from the ACTUAL amount isn't an accident....MAKES YOU WONDER how many undocumented accidents/occurrences have happened. Then the GM went on to say "So you are implying my employee made a mistake on purpose...." (whether he made the mistake on purpose or not is it even a question to argue with someone you just stole from.... just return the money.." After all this is said... the GM "HAL", asks me one last question... "DO YOU KNOW THEY TOTAL OF THE BILL.... i replied yes i do, DO YOU? he replies yes, but can you tell me the total of the bill, i reply sure $164.95 (tax/tip/entire bill).
PS. He never admitted to his employees mistake nor apologize for the whole theft/mishap of unauthorized withdrawal.
I'm not telling you not to go here, but check your bank statement if your bank does not catch this thievery.

Whenever you make a reservation to a restaurant you expect them to save you a table for the time you asked for, right?? well at First Crush they dont work that way. yes, you can make a reservation but once you arrive (on time I should say) you still probably going to wait for another 30 minutes. not such a good beginning.
during dinner - and that is only after the really noisy table next to us left- and that is with no intervention from the manager on duty, the service was pretty slow, we've being constantly asking for more wine and waited for 20 minutes. the final disaster was when the entries were served - COLD & UNDER COOKED!!! shame that a $30 dish served this way. we were very unhappy at this point, and to add on it when we left the 2 waiters that served us (we were 10) together with the manager on duty talked badly about us. very rude! I will never go back there and will never recommend this place. spare your time money and appetite and choose a better place

I wish I would have read your review before I dined at First Crush! I also had billing errors and was overcharged by our careless waiter. I hope people read these reviews and think twice about going to this establishment!!
