San Francisco Symphony Business Overview

Edit Info

Company Information: It has been called the most elegant affair in the city. More than 12,000 San Franciscans come together dressed in either black, white or both, to dance to live music (from rock to classical), drink fine wine, eat gourmet food and show their support for the San Francisco Symphony. Proceeds from this black-tie event benefit the many symphony programs. The Ball is usually held at the Embarcadero Center on the waterfront. This is a pricey event (USD150-200 per person depending on when you purchase), and you must purchase tickets in advance, but an evening spent at the Black and White Ball is magically unforgettable. It is held annually during the spring.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL: LOUISE M. DAVIES, San Francisco, Symphony HALL IS SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! INSIDE THE BUILDING IT IS OVAL SHAPED WITH WINDOWS FROM CEILING TO FLOOR. DURING THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SEASON THERE ARE HUGH BEAUTIFULLY DEOCRATED CHRISTMAS TRESS. THESE TREES ARE DECORATED BY STUDENTS OF THE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. ONE OF MY ANNUAL VISITS INCLUDES THE COLORS OF CHRISTMAS. WHERE EVER YOU SIT YOU CAN HEAR THE MUSIC, SEE THE PERFORMERS AND ENJOY THE AMBIENCE!! THIS IS A MUST VIST FOR TOURISTS, AS WELL AS, NATIVES OF THE BAY AREA. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

There's nothing like it!: The San Francisco Symphony is unbeatable--top notch performances, a beautiful hall, and great for date night. You can get tickets for as little as $20 for some concerts, if you get there early for the rush seats behind the stage, or you can buy tickets in the balcony starting around $30 or so. Totally worth it!
