User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsAwful experience dining here. All the service was focused on a nearby table because they knew the owners, and we had to wait a while even for water. The food was atrocious given the prices they charge. We will never go back to this place.

The place is beautifully decorated. Looks like traditional persian tea houses.
The food was good. I am a big fan of koobideh and I liked it. Shish kabob was okay too. The rice was not the best one. The only side dish which was included was tomato. You have to order others. The negative point is that it's a bit pricey.

Their service and quality has really gone down. They're stingy. The low grade rice is just a couple of spoons, the meat shrinks every year, they use half a baby roma tomato that after barbecuing, you end up with just the skin of it on the plate. You can hear their Mom from the kitchen arguing with the kids and employees about putting too much food in their plates. The place smells like meat fat. And...

I've never commented on a review in my life, but couldn't pass over this one. This guy either woke up on the wrong side of the bed or is just one of thier competitors in disguise, because this place is just great. I've been going to Chelokababi on and off for over 10 years, and was just there again last week. Food was great(especially the chicken - yum), and the back room they put in a couple of years ago has the best ambiance of any Persian restaurant in the area (ask for the table next to the wine cellar window).
It might be a touch expensive, but the food is excellent. It a favorite place to go.
Their Kabob is not that great. Chicken Kabob is very good.
