| About: | Apart from being the staple food in many countries, rice also is the staple ingredient in sake (Japanese wine). You may sample the different varieties, without crossing the international date line at True Sake, the first of its kind in the city, and probably in the country. But unless you are strictly off drinking, you simply have to visit this store and try out some of the offerings. With over a 100 bottles and helpful staff, this new store will give you a good reason to celebrate. |

There is no other place to buy sake unless you are in Japan and if you read Engrish like me, Japan is over-rated.
True Sake has changed my life. I am happier and healthier with sake in my life. My meals are more complete with the knowledge Bo has professed about this recreational liquid and tastier too.
Having explained to my son that True Sake was the reason he is going to JC and not a four-year university, our family is now in balance.
Great selection: This is a perfect example of niche marketing at its best and why specialized boutiques are valuable. They know their stuff--a great selection in a compact space, great learning experience as well. I was expecting high prices, but they're actually very reasonable--a hard-to-find sake we picked up was a lot more expensive elsewhere. Great way to build exposure. I hope they have much success.
a must stop for sake lovers: true sake stocks an incredibly large selection of sake, and you can tell the owner really knows his stuff. he's incredibly friendly and helpful, and he suggested a nice mid-range as well as a cheap-y sake for us. if you check their website (which is pretty cool) he's come up with a system for classifying sake by flavor and helping people find new sakes they might like based on other sakes they've tried. plus, their newsletter is always entertaining and contains a secret password that gets you a discount on whatever bottle they're featuring that month. this is a great shop for a bottle of something special to bring to your next dinner party, or just to enjoy for yourself!
