DON'T EVER GO HERE. I downloaded the free 7 day pass and was called by a guy named Mike at the Sunnyvale location. I went in this morning and expressed interest in a possible 30 day membership since I saw it online. He cut me off, asking me if I KNEW what I wanted to do with my body. Well yes I KNOW what I have to do. I know what my goals are and I know how to achieve them. I used to train 8 years ago so I know what works for me. Then he has THE NERVE to say: "Before you spend a dollar here, educate yourself about what you want to do, and maybe go to Fitness 19 down the street". In other words...I WAS REJECTED. Not a good feeling. This schmuck and I feel now..the REST of the staff are willing to lift a finger to help you ONLY IF YOU WANT TO SPEND ALOT OF MONEY. Lines their pockets more comfortably I suppose.

By the way Fitness 19 aren't full of "posers" and people go there to put their noses to the grind. If you want a serious work out and already know what you want, go to Fitness 19. 24 Hour fitness can go to HE-double hockeysticks!!!! Your competitor has my money now. And I paid for an Executive Membership! :D

Typical of most fitness clubs that are in it for the Money. A buddy of mine got a cheap deal at 24hr fitness in Sunnyvale. He invited me to join him for a workout and teach him proper form. He got a Free pass with his membership and gave it to me to use. When we arrived and I tried to use my free pass they immediately tried to sell me a membership. After I explained why I was there and that I had no intention of leaving Gold's Gym, they told me the pass is only Free if you sign up for a membership?!? So where's the free deal? I ended up paying for a one time workout. What a rip off. The gym is small, cramped, crowded, loud, dirty and has an awful selection of free weights. I know culbs like this vary in size and services but this one SUCKS!! As one person already said you get what you pay for. This club is only interested in membership money. The fitness part of it is up to you. If you want a really great gym at a good price Gold's in Mt. View or San Jose are excellent.

It is cheap and you get what you pay for. My experience has been a negative one. This place gets so crowded in the evenings I had to put my name on waiting lists to get time on machines. Also machines and locker rooms are not kept clean. Many times I have found vacant machines that were drenched in body sweat. Over all I did not enjoy going there for workouts; after a year I have decided to pay more and get more at another club.
