About:This New England-style sports bar is authentic in its menu, decor and staff. A great place to enjoy a joe montana with scrambled eggs in spinach, ground beef and onions & a cold draft while you watch Sunday morning football. The bartenders have East Coast accents and the whole joint is decorated with sports memorabilia. Tons of TVs and satellite channels make every game its home. Dishes are aptly named after famous athletes like the John Elway (Denver omelet), the Cal Ripken (crab cakes) and the Dr. J (Philly Cheesesteak). See website for menu, photos, live music calendar and more.

Great Lunch Spot: I went there for lunch with my sister (who works at Anchor Brewing). The staff was really nice, and the restaurant was well lit and roomy. I started off with some French onion soup, which was really good. I had half of my sister's burger, and she had half of my rueben. I would return in a heartbeat. Great job!

This is a place I only hit in the afternoons...: And it's a hit-or-miss when it comes to the service. Sometimes they're HELLA cool, but other times, there are parts of the staff that make you feel paranoid. (Like, did they put me in the only table in the sun because I look like I like to sweat a lot?) The food can't be beat though. They're fierce, which is why I'll take the gamble, because you can always get it to-go. Good eats, but a kinda' price-y. Will that stop me from going back? Uh uh. They've won me over, in that respect.

The Northeast bar experience...: I grew up in the Northeast, and if you miss that kind of local bar atmosphere, this is a great place to go. The parking isn't all that bad (which is nice given that parking in SF is as fun as ACL surgery). The walls are loaded with pictures of sports icons (mostly boston sports icons...added bonus for me). The selection of beers they have is excellent. And the food it pretty decent...a notch above regular bar food. A nice place to hang out...there's a pseudo banquet room in the back and an outdoor patio. Reminds me of those neighboorhood bars that just don't seem to exist much any more.
