The service was excellent even though it took a long time between appetizers and entrees.
The food, however, was anothet issue. I was there about a year ago and loved the food. This time around nothing on the entree section of the menu read enticing. All food seemed contived and so i settled for the southern fried chicken which was acceptable. The braised duck was drenched in sauce.
The worst was the appetizer dish of shrimp in Worcestershire sauce. Floating on a bed of sauce was a piece of bread soaked with sauce and 3 medium shrimp on top, sort of Cuisine Brutale.
The only highlight next to the service were the creme brulee and the apple crisp. This meal awas one huge disappointment and i wish them well in a city where the competition is fierce.
I really wanted to like Town Hall. My friend had raved about it for weeks. When I finally went, I thought it was..... Good, not great, but good. The service was a little spotty. Server forgot our drinks and there was a long time gap between our appetizers and drinks. The food was tasty, not mindblowingly so but solid. I may try it again and see if the kitchen/servers have a better night.
I came here highly recommended for dinner between Christmas and New Year's. The location is decent and the service was okay; however, I felt as though the food could have been better. The place was somewhat empty because of the holidays, so I don't know if the kitchen wasn't firing on all cylinders but our food came out slightly overdone/dry, and with way too much salt on it. The staff was friendly but not exactly attentive.
