| About: | It is like dining in a sultan's tent here. Elegant and expensive carpets, velvet banquettes and opulent fittings combined with a wait staff that's efficient and decked out like characters from the Arabian Nights. The food here is fit for a sultan, Broiled or Grilled Lamb, Beef, Chicken and Quail served on steaming beds of Couscous and accompanied by a treasure trove of side dishes such as Dolmades, imported olives, Baba Ganoush and a selection of flatbreads. Belly dancers perform nightly and diners are often invited to join them. |

The food was terrible, the service was bad, my fiance and I ordered less then the other couples we were given three pieces of meat, some rice, salad and we were charged $80.00 the others tab, per couple was over $200.00, not only did we get ripped off but, we went for middle eastern atmosphere, music and instead after dinner it was rap music.. it was rip off, the kitchen and bathrooms were dirty, I heard due to new management, the restaurant is going down hill. My friends birthday party was ruined. The crowd was getto!!
I have visited Morocco in 2005 and I was fascinated by the food and the culture, when I came back to San Francisco I started exploring the so called Moroccan restaurants, went to Marrakesh, Aziza in San Francisco and El Morocco in Pleasant Hill, the service sucked the food was nothing like what I have had in Morocco. And I found out about a new Moroccan Restaurant called Cossu in SF, we went there on a Saturday for dinner before going dancing, OMG the atmosphere, Decoration, the service were excellent, greeted by the owner and his wife at the entrance, got the best service any1 can ask for, the food was exactly just like what I had in Morocco, the same spices taste and texture, the prices were reasonable. The music was great, the belly dancer was a pro, I recommend it to every one.
An evening of Moroccan Gala: This is an upscale Moroccan restaurant reccommended by Moroccans. It has live Arabian music and Belly dancing. The belly dancing was so-so. Try the flambe for sure. A dinner with drinks for 2 can cost you 60$
