| About: | These donuts are made from scratch, not a pre-packaged mix that has been sitting around for who knows how long. They are light, never greasy, and while they will never be confused with health food, they are undeniably a comfort food par excellence. They are also always fresh. Bob's Donuts and Pastry Shop is popular with people from all walks of life never has a donut on hand long enough to even think of getting stale. It is not fine dining, as the sometimes brusque counter help makes clear, as does the '50s decor complete with tacky with fake wood paneling. Concentrate on the huge Cinnamon Rolls or the glazed raised, though, and you will be fine. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis CT Girl Loves Bobs Donuts: While studying in college in San Francisco, I was fortunate enough to live only 2 short blocks away from Bob's Donuts. Thank God San Fran has all those hills, because I would've gained many many pounds. I am from Connecticut and have tried many yummy east-coast fatty donuts and other fried varieties. But, Bobs Donuts is the BEST. My husband even tried to have them ship them to me in CT, but alas, they don't do that. Nonetheless, I love Bobs! Cant wait to visit San Fran again and get one of their pink boxes filled with them!

In Marin, its Larkspur's "Donut Alley" ( just off Magnolia St. downtown) where you will find THE BEST, the very best donuts around.
If GOD wanted a donut, He'd forget about Bob's and truck on down the alley to Bill's place.
