fringale is an awsome place i would recommend it to any one of my friends or family members
Great Food, Great Service, OK Atmosphere: The food was tasty French bistro style. The service was spot-on, as well. Although it felt like a neighborhood place -- the host seemed to know half the folks walking through the door -- I thought the atmosphere was a little corporate. Even though it's small and friendly, it doesn't feel as intimate as it could. Wish it had some dark wood and dim lights. We ate via Dine About Town program in SF, so the value was good, as well. Not sure I would add it to my regular rotation unless I lived in the neighborhood...
Hard to beat: I had one meal here, and while the place is small and the service is not stellar the food is very hard to beat. I'm a fan of exactly this kind of rustic French food -- they get it perfect.
