| About: | Both inside and out, Tommy's Joynt is an eyeful! It is huge and historic, with murals, animal heads, and various odds and ends, all packed into a building that is over 100 years old. Lines can be long, but you will move down the cafeteria-style procession quickly. Choose your sandwich, grab a pickle from the barrel, and sit. A server will be by soon to take your beer order. The international selection, both on tap and by the bottle, is shockingly large for such an all-American place. |

Was in SF for vacation when my sister and I happen to see Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and happened to see the episode with this place in it. My sis and I were interested in trying it out, so the next night, we found out that it was only three blocks away from our hotel, so we walked all the way over there, and the trip was not in vain... I had the delicious BBQ Beef sandwich with mayo and mustard. It was huge and superb... My sister had the BBQ ribs, which was perfectly cooked and tasted like we won the lottery... Not to mention, the ribs fell off the bone, as soon as we touched it with the fork... An awesome Joynt... We will surely visit again...
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI really don't want to share my secrets about all of my favorite spots in the Bay Area, but Tommy's Joynt is definitely a "must" on my travels.
