About:Part bar, part beach, this is the city's quickest trip to the tropics. The entrance, with thatched umbrellas and palm trees, could easily be seen on a beach in the Carribean, making it easy to forget you're actually in a Potrero Hill warehouse. Food (Indian, BBQ, breakfast, quiche), together with music, (salsa, swing, house, jazz, rock) come from all over the planet. Televised sports, pool tables, stellar cocktails and meditation classes dislodge this place from any traditional category. You must experience it for yourself.

Watch out here! Your stuff will get stolen!

I used to love Cocomo--best salsa venue in SF. But my bag was stolen here, and apparently thefts are pretty common. So use the coat check!!

People are homely except for the Prostitutes (literally)...Security is run by fat underpaid loafers. Cover is 30 bucks (would never pay it if I had known). No one could make me come back... no one.

For many years I have danced here once every month or two.
The floor is smooth & open. Everyone is generally sociable.
Dancers include beginners, intermediates, advanced, & teachers.

Although there is a dress code, people are more interested in dancing than dressing up & looking @ each other.

Sometimes there is food & sometimes there is no food.
Sometimes it is good & sometimes is is bad.

There is generally plenty of parking. I read in other reviews of cars being broken into but my BMW has been unscathed.
