| About: | Green predominates, appropriately, at this unprepossessing restaurant that serves delicious vegetarian cuisine. Do not be thrown by the menu, which lists pork, chicken and beef dishes. It's all made with tofu that does a more than adequate job of approximating the texture of the real thing. The cooks do the rest with careful preparation and expert seasoning of curries, Mu Shu and Kung Pao dishes. There are also wonderful rice and noodle dishes as well as a good selection of rich soups and appetizers. If you're looking to share a romantic cup of green tea with a date, this isn't the spot -during the dinner rush you may be seated at a larger communal table. The service is quick for the tourists and local professionals that seek this place out. |

I lived in San Francisco for over a decade, and now live 2 hours away. We are driving in to the aquarium today, and going out of our way to eat at Lucky Creation...it is THAT good! I love their mixed meat appetizer...I don't recall the name, but it is a bunch of vegetarian meats that are all so delicious (like veggie bbq pork, veggie chicken curry, etc.). I recommend this restaurant, even if it is a bit of a hole in the wall and maybe isn't too clean (as mentioned by another reviewer). I have always enjoyed my food and never found it to be disturbingly dirty or anything. Just great, cheap food!
Cheap, Chinese, Vegan, Dimsums and Food!
I absolutely fell in love with it when I visited this restaurant as a visitor. I went there everyday while I was in San Francisco and loved every dish!
I had Lucky Creation Chow Mein, Lucky Creation Fried Rice, Lotus Desserts, BBQ Pork Bun, Vegetable Rice Noodle Dimsum, etc. They're very inexpensive and fills you up.
Don't mind the servers talking to each other really loud. Cantonese language just sounds like people are yelling, but they're really not. They're very nice and awesome cooks!
Greasy and Grimy Chinese Restaurant: Pros: Lots of cheap vegan food; friendly staff; Interesting altar in rear of restaurants
Cons: Restaurant has ground in dirt and grease on tables, condiments, walls, etc.; Noisy inside and everyone speaks Chinese so non-Chinese speakers can't listen in; Food was so greasy that I had to use a number of napkins to soak the excess oil off my eggplant (GROSS!), WarningÂ… Avoid using the bathroom as you must go through the greasy kitchen which may make you retch your insides out!
Bottom line is that I would avoid this restaurant unless you want to get the experience of eating in a Third World Country while getting an oil change.
God Bless you and your family and if you want to stay healthy steer clear of this grease pit!
