Simply the best prime rib West (and probably East) of the Rockies. When I was there last year, the service was excellent (earning the server a fat tip.) Oh, and did I mention the excellent prime rib. Delicious. Places like this need to stay in business.
I believe my husband knows the maitre d' at the House of Prime Rib. I suspect they also have our telephone numbers, and perhaps a variety of information in their in-house database too because when my husband came in last week and ordered 3 prime rib dinners to go, a portion of the order was forgotten by the kitchen. They weren't able to bring it out on time, but at the time they discovered the mistake, my husband had already left the premises. This I know, because I received a message on my cell phone alerting me of the problem. I suspect they have our contact information, because how did they have my cell phone otherwise? Perhaps I gave it a long time ago while making reservations, who knows.
Well, to make a long story short, my husband was already home by the time we found out about the mistake and so he called the restaurant. The person who answered the phone was very apologetic, and they sent someone to our house to bring the rest of the food so we wouldn't go without. I believe they also included some goodies in there to further apologize for the mistake too.
Now the drive from House of Prime Rib, to my house is at least 30-45 minutes long with traffic during that time of day. With such fantastic customer service as that, this is only one of the reasons why we're regulars. The food is absolutely fantastic too. We especially love their King Henry cut, and dressy-casual atmosphere. Not too informal, but not too casual either. Just right. We'll regularly patronize this restaurant for as long as they remain open.
i must admit the prime ribs were out of this world. it was one of the best i ve ever tried. i found parking nearby so it didnt create a problem for me. the atmosphere of the waiting area as well as the restaurant was really enjoyable. but i have to warn you... the man behind the check in booth is a JERK!! he carries himself as if he s a star from hollywood and people are lucky to be able to talk to him or something. fortunately he was the only one without a personality. everyone else was really polite and friendly. i heard the old gentleman who goes around from table to table and greet customers is the owner...he was really really sincere and friendly.
