Tasty Thai: Very lucky to have stumbled across this little spot when looking for a place to eat dinner before a Giants game. What a treat. Very good food, excellent service and wacky if not completely strange sense of humor in the artwork at the bathroom.
Decent Thai in SOMA: Likes
1) Refreshing menu and tasty food. The food is all fresh and nicely done. I especially like the seafood soup in a hot pot. They give you so much seafood. The seabass and roast duck curry are above par.
2) One of a kind in the SOMA district. It's about the only upscale Thai in the neighborbood. No wonder it becomes a local favorite.
Dislikes
1) Not for a date. They packed too many tables in the dining room and it was way too noisy. It's much more family styled than romantic as it was suggested in the citysearch review
2) Slow service. The waiters were warm and nice and they were too overloaded to give good service.
Pumpkin Curry - Go Get It Now: If for some strange reason you're lost in San Francisco, and you find yourself in South Beach looking for a place to eat, try out Koh Samui. They make a ridiculously good Pumpkin Curry which sounds wierd but tastes amazing. I eat it about twice a week. The other parts of the menu are a mystery to me as I only eat the dang pumpkin curry. Service is good and the ambience is fine. One downside is that this place, like the rest of the restaurants in South Beach, closes pretty early (10:30 I think). Enjoy.
