About:	Maybe the name has a lot to do with it, but Make-Out Room is sexy. Overstuffed padded booths, a mirrored bar, a dance floor designed for seduction, and a stage for live shows (expertly booked ones at that), it all puts you in the mood. Plus there is entertainment. Live music, comedy, dancing and, of course, the thrills of a very healthy single's scene. Rock 'n' roll legend Jonathan Richman treats in-the-know Mission District denizens to budget-priced four-night residencies on a fairly regular basis.

Fun crowd!: You don't go here for the decor - you go for the fun-lovin' crowd! When they have good bands in here, the place is packed! Sometimes, a Tuesday night will be jammed with folks! Other nights can be slower ... but the booths, tables and bar are comfortable enough for a quiet night with friends. I like the performances that they book here. From duets to big bands or comedy troupes, it's almost always surprisingly good. Wide range of styles. Cover's not too bad and drinks are average price. Take and extra pair of underware to through on the antlers!
