I used to love coming to CC but the last 2 times I've been there for lunch and dinner I found HAIR in my food and was completely turned off to the place. I found one short wavy hair in the Shitake + Beef bowl (my favorite) and one longer hair in the Peanut bowl. I politely pointed it out and used lots of "please" and "thank you"s but I was even more disappointed when the staff slammed a new bowl of food onto my placemat. The food (replacement) was undercooked and oily, which really disturbed me. My guest called the manager over and stood up for me and the manager took over. She then double billed us for my old bowl with the hair and the new bowl. I used to be thrilled to run over to Citrus Club for a healthy lunch or dinner but the lack of cleanliness and the staff attitude/lack of desire to please customers means I won't return. Many of my neighbors have had similar experiences so they won't go back either.
Looking for a cheap, but healthy dinner? Citrus Club will fill you up with their zesty noodle soups and tangy garlic edamame. I live across the street from the Citrus Club, but it took me months to discover it. The window peeks into the kitchen, where vats of broth are waiting to be ladled into soup bowls. I didn't know what was in those vats and based on the amount of steam they were creating, I thought the place looked dodgy.
I am so glad my sister called me crazy, because I really was insane to skip this place for so long. I crave their delicious food so much now, I have to limit my attendance to once a week.
PS. I won't give it 5 stars, only because some of their wok noodle dishes can be greasy. Stick with the soups.
Excellent (and low cost) noodles: Delicious, zesty, and amazing value for money. Vast noodle dishes for $8 or less. The largest and tastiest six-dollar soup you're likely to find anywhere.
The only downside is that you can expect a long wait for a table at peak times. And forget about parking...
