About:Even on famously dreary San Francisco fog-filled days you will still find a line forming out the door of this classic American-style restaurant. Well-heeled patrons flock to Ella's for the freshly baked goods. Everything from the pot-pie crusts to the hamburger buns are kneaded, rolled and baked on the premises. The menu changes weekly but you will always find American favorites such as hearty Burgers and the to-die-for Chicken Pot Pie and Meatloaf plate. You will also find classic drinks such as Gibsons and Manhattans available from the bar. On Saturdays and Sundays the brunch crowd is advised to get an early start, because hungry stomachs start the line half an hour before the restaurant opens its doors.

Since Dan ahs sold the restaurant to the new owner it has gone down hill fast. the coffee was cold and old and the waiter was rude. we went to ella's on a regualr basis when you had to stand in line to get in . The bread wasd homemade and the best cinamen rolls ever. now it is horrible . I will never recomend it to anyone . When Dan ran it you were always made to feel welcome and it was warm and inviting . you never minded waiting inline because it was well worth the wait. NOT NOW !!!!!!!!!

I just went to Ella's today because I wanted to know if what people talked about are right or not. Well, what can I say? They're right and this place is wonderful. I wait for about 25-30 mins but it's worth it. The place is a little bit crowded but the atmosphere is nice. The staffs are friendly and though there there are lots of people, they still give you enough attention. Customers are kings here and I am so glad that I went there because the food is also nice. I definitely going to go back to Ella's :)

Perfect breakfast: I had a hard time deciding what to eat, but since everyone had pancakes I had to indulge. Excellent choice even though everything loked great. A small town feel in a major metropolis. No wait Monday at 10AM.
