Are you an east coast transplant who needs proof that there is good pizza in San Francisco, or do you just really like a good slice? Arinell will deliver either way with its high quality mozzarella cheese, crispy thin crusts and hearty Sicilian slices. It's small interior and its tendency to be crowded means it's no dating spot, but as long as your mind is on the food, which it should be, you probably won't notice.
Thanks to the fans of Arinell Pizza! Here I was, craving good pizza and didn't know of any good places. I miss Pizzeria Uno's at Lombard. I loved their deep dish, cornmeal crust pizza. I Googled it, and now the closest location is in the East Bay.
Well, I got on the internet some more and found reviews of this place. Parking is always shaky in the city, but after circling a couple of times, lucked upon a spot. I walked in and proceded to eat like it was going out of style. I love their crust, the sauce was good and the service was phenomenal!
I will be going back to Arinell's, but first I'll make sure I have more room in my belly next time because it's that good!
If you're a fan of Papa Gino's of New England or NY-style pizza, then you'll love Arinell's! It's not a sit-down place, unless you want it by the slice and willing to stand/sit at the available counter space. The pizza pies are "East Coast" size and "East Coast" delicious for take out/by the slice! I live out on the Peninsula, but everytime I frequent SF, I just have to stop by Arinell's to satisfy my cravings! Love it!
