| About: | An architectural masterpiece, the Fillmore itself is as worth seeing as any band playing here. Stand on the main floor next to the historic stage and look up at soaring ceilings embellished with carvings and gold paint while the booming speakers rattle your bones. If you choose the tranquility of the balcony instead, sink into velvet-covered seats, sip cocktails, and eat French fries. With posters representing almost every group that has ever played here, the history of American music is on full display. Credit card acceptance varies by show. See website for concert calendar, online ticketing and more. |

Doobie Brothers concert was fabulous! However, I will never attend a concert at this venue again. Early preferred ticket purchase, best available price which were printed out with actual seat numbers. Upon arriving was told it was first-come, first-served, with NO seating. When asked about side tables was told they were for disabled only; however it did not appear that way. Was never told whether the balcony seating was an option. Others had equally as good standing room and I know they paid much less for their tickets!
People unfamiliar with this venue need to know that when purchasing tickets and they have a seat number, it is meaningless. Furthermore, the staff did not seem the least bit interested in answering my questions.
The Crowded House show on May 15 was AMAZING. Neil and friends are always incredibly entertaining on many levels.
I would also like to thank The Fillmore management for being wonderful, kind human beings: YOU ARE THE BEST!
Have come here several times to watch concerts. A little on the cramped side, but I love the home feeling. The balcony is a great place to watch the venues. Getting a drink can be a problem, as one of the entrances opens up right to the bar...so traffic can get caught up with people trying to get to the bar and people trying to get to the stage. Good place to come watch venues, seems very safe. They search at the door.
