You know, I don't like this restaurant, even though I live down the street and really, really want to like it. Their brunches are bad news--I seem to remember them not having toast, which is a sin, in my opinion. The only saving grace is the pot roast.
4th of July BBQ was so-so: My friend and I were looking for a BBQ going on.
We followed our noses into Home as they were cooking outside.
To make a long story short, everything was overpriced ($6 for a hot dog & 1 side), too small portions, and unorganized (order here, tel that person, order drinks here, sit down).
Place gives Chow a run for best Comfort Food: There are a few great places to eat within just 2 blocks of Market & Church and this is one of them.
Personal preference if you prefer Home over Chow, but for me its Home without any hesitation.
Friendly, Fun, Good Quality Food in a Casual Space.
If you can get here early enough try the.
Chefs Early Bird Special - $10.99 for a prix fix Menu with a glass of wine served from 5-6pm.
If here on a Tuesday maybe the Chicken Pot Pie.
Other suggestions being the
Duck and vegetable spring rolls
The Macaroni & Cheese
Niman Ranch meatloaf, buttermilk smashed potatoes
Flat Iron Steaks
And consider ending it with a fresh Sorbet or Desert
This is also a great place for Breakfast, Lunch & Brunch (Sa & Su 10:am 2:00pm)
