The Doc-Fai Wong Center is awesome. They teach real Kung Fu, not just the forms, but true application. The Tai-Chi program is phenomenal too!

I go in there and everyone is so friendly, the classes are always dynamic and the instructors actually care about bringing me to my personal best! I always feel great afterwards, and if I ever have trouble on anything the sihings (instructors) will always be there to help even after a long day of teaching!

If you want a workout check out Sihing Woo's class, if you want 30+ years of experience and learn how to be a total badass take a class with Dai Sihing Chin. They even have a ground fighting (grappling?) class with Sihing Van Dyke who is unbeatable. Sihing Grey teaches his tai chi classes so you get what you need to be doing, and Dai Sihing Weiss is always so nice and willing to help! If you want to hone your sparring and refine your technique, Sihing Kunkler will bring out the best in you! Sihing Wong teaches some awesome self defense techniques. The Sihings Woo (brothers) are awesome, so nice and calm but you can just tell they're not to be messed with :)
And that's just to name a few!!!

I can't forget to mention Sifu Wong. There's like a million trophies in the school from him, he's very detailed and so knowledgeable when it comes to Kung Fu. And of course, the #1 of the school... Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong! When I first met him he was such a peaceful happy guy, I couldn't believe it when he had 10 of the Sihings try to push him over....and he just smiled... he was solid, and then he effortlessly pushed them off of him like nothing and they all flew back!

Then another night I saw him teaching the instructor class and he was demonstrating a technique at full speed.... he was faster than the younger guys! I swear I'm gonna grow up to be like him!!!

This place rocks, it's the only school for me!

I will never forget my first day. I stopped in on a Monday around noon and was met by an instructor in his 50's. He was soft spoken and clearly very fit. During my first class I saw him move like a guy in his 20's which was amazing to see first hand. Come to find out he wasn't the Grandmaster or Sifu. He is a highly dedicated instructor and has been practicing there for over 30 years! The place was steeped in tradition and is clearly the real deal. The workouts/training sessions are amazing and in 3 months I lost over 20 pounds!!! In short if your ready to change your life then give them a call....

Would not recommend. Have been to multiple martial arts studios. I did not get a return phone call, so had to go visit myself. The instructors are young and a little cocky. One instructor refused to allow me to watch one of their classes (ignoring their inviting website), because "their students may be become too anxious" - despite martial arts being a training of self-confidence. The moment I walked in the door, they were quite aggressive in discussing the business aspects. You have many other choices in this area. I personally found Navarette Black Belt Academy on Church street a better choice. Good luck.
