loud, lots of sports, great music, best bar food in SF and lots of beers. This is a great place to go with a group of sports fans...they have everything from NFL, MLB, NCAA, MLS, intl soccor, rugby, etc.
Sundays for NFL is packed, plan to get there by 9:15-9:30am if you want a seat for the 1pm games!
It's an Irish sports bar. It's a little less on the Irish side, and a little more on the sports side. This is probably THE best sports bar in the whole city of San Francisco. They must have at least 15 flat-panel tv's mounted up all over the place showing a variety of sports. It's my favourite place to watch football. During big games like the Superbowl they will use planks and table cloths to convert their pool tables into regular tables for people to sit at. I was there to watch the AFC championship game last week and I got there an hour before the game, and was able to get a seat at the bar, but shortly after that the place was so packed we were like sardines. They have my favourite common ale (Fat Tire) and many others on tap. The food is very good as well. Their Buffalo wings and barbecue wings are both excellent, but they only serve a batch of 12, which is a bit much for me, so I get half of them to go. And they recently added some trivia network thing with the remote-control boxes, which I played Friday night. Good times. And geez, how long has Bridget been working there.
more than pub grub: very good food, nice ambiance (great music) and laid back local crowd. some super good beers and good people watching. great spot to have a late afternoon beer and early dinner.
