About:A nicely rendered dining room done with Japanese accents and soothing colors adds to the enjoyment of the delicious cuisine here. The menu offers toothsome takes on classic Japanese items such as Tempura, Teriyaki made with a sharply sweet marinade, and a smallish selection of Sushi. Udon soups made with rich, house-made stocks in chicken, beef and vegetable, are especially nice, served in huge bowls and brimming with hearty noodles. The wait staff is efficient and friendly, even at midnight, to the locals who make this their first stop on a day of shopping or the last of a night of clubbing.

No Names Sushi has a name it seems: Great Sushi and very cheap, place tends to be packed. Not large so not the place for the extrended family butt works for parties of 2-4.

Its a barebones space with well priced and great Sushi on the edge of the Castro.

I enjoy coming here at least once a month with my favorite being their Unagi.
    Try the
Nigiri - Uni (sea urchin) , Hamachi (yellowtail) , Unagi (Bbq eell)
Mikamono - Rock & Roll , Pocky Roll
Spicy Rolls - Spider Roll , Gootilla Roll

and top it off with some great Beers or Saki

Great local sushi: I moved to the neighborhood a year ago and quickly discovered Miyabi. My wife and I go there several times a month, and they always seem to have available tables. It is not the most exciting place, but the sushi is outstanding and very reasonably priced, and the service is great.

Dependable, friendly, and good value: I've been going to Miyabi between one and five times a month for the last several years -- it's on one of my favorite blocks in the whole city (the third block of Church St., home to Sparky's, Chow and Aardvark Books). The quality and attention to detail has declined a little bit in that time, but the service is still great and friendly, and the food is generally fine. You won't find exquisite fish -- just good fish at a good price.

Recommended: shiro-maguro (white tuna), hamachi (yellowtail), 49ers roll (Calif. roll wrapped in salmon and thin slices of lemon), hamachi-negi maki (yellowtail and scallion roll). The ika (squid) is often good; ask before ordering. Not recommended: unagi nigiri -- the grilled eel is not cooked to order, and lately has been served with too much sauce.
