| About: | Mai's Restaurant serves some of the most authentic Vietnamese cuisine in San Francisco. The restaurant has been family-owned and operated for over a decade, and all the food that they serve is prepared to your custom order. The service is personable and quick. The Asian pop music that plays overhead and the scenic pictures of Vietnam on the wall give the diner a glimpse into modern-day Vietnam. The menu is a sampling of traditional Vietnamese food, including shrimp soup and Imperial rolls. |

the Best Vietnames Restaurant Ever: I LOVE MAI'S I COULD EAT 20 IMPERIAL ROLLS ALL AT ONCE. THERE FOOD IS SOOO GOOD. ESPECIALLY THEIR DESSERT-FRIEND BANNANA
Worth the drive!: This is the only restaurant I'm willing to drive to. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Richmond. Good food at good prices. All the friends I've turned on to this place loved it and now they even go there without me :-(
The Best Cheap Vietnamese in SF: It's not Slanted Door, but it also isn't nearly as ostentatious or expensive. The ingredients were extremely fresh and the spices & sauces were just delicious. I didn't sense MSG, but I could be wrong (in other places, it usually jumps out at me). I tried the spicy & sour chicken soup (very good- a little bit earthy, but I wolfed it down), and the make-your-own-rolls with pork meatballs. The latter was so good, I can't wait to go back. It's even worth driving up from the peninsula. No wait, cheap prices, and extremely sweet owners. What more could you want?
